Samuel West, who plays Siegfried Farnon in All Creatures Great and Small, has shared his wishes for the character in Series 7. During a video for Masterpiece, West said: "I want to hear children laughing in Skaledale. I want love for Siegfried, in all its difficulty and imperfection. Not perfection."
The Channel 5 drama recently completed filming on the upcoming series. Co-star Anna Madeley, who portrays Mrs Hall, also expressed her hopes: "The joy of having everybody home which, in their case, they're very lucky. They've got this surrogate family all come back."
Romance Hopes for Siegfried and Mrs Hall
Over the years, viewers have been eager to see a romance develop between Siegfried and Mrs Hall. Throughout the sixth series, there were suggestions that their close friendship might deepen. Siegfried once told her: "I'll always need you, Mrs Hall."
However, during the 2025 Christmas special, Siegfried's former love interest Dorothy returned, and the pair shared a kiss under the mistletoe. Mrs Hall witnessed the moment and appeared visibly disappointed.
Fan Reactions
The moment did not go unnoticed among fans. One viewer remarked: "Nobody puts Audrey in the corner! This was so devastatingly hurtful to her and to us. I really, really hope that she will start admitting to her feelings for Siegfried in S7."
Another added: "He doesn't yet realise who he is in love with! ! So sorry for Audrey. The only reason she came back was him. Hopefully, season 7 will fix that."
A third fan commented: "Mrs Hall is the star of the Skeldale household! Love her!"
