Loose Women star Ruth Langsford was forced to apologise live on air after a production blunder saw the wrong clip aired during Monday's episode. The presenter introduced the show and teased upcoming topics, but when she announced Paris Fury as a guest, a clip from Big Brother's launch episode was played instead, complete with Paris's name on screen.
Langsford quickly realised the mistake and laughed it off, apologising to viewers: 'Sorry, I've realised that's completely the wrong clip, we're going to be talking about Big Brother last night.' The live audience joined in the laughter as she added: 'But anyway, these things happen; it's Monday morning. It's been the weekend.'
The blunder came on the same day Big Brother returned to ITV for its highly anticipated reboot. Unlike previous series, the launch was pre-recorded rather than live, a change that left some viewers disappointed. One fan on X wrote: 'I cannot articulate how much of an awful decision it was to pre-record #BigBrotherUK and edit the launch.'
