Royals Unscripted: New YouTube Show Offers Exclusive Royal Insight

The Daily Express has announced the launch of Royals Unscripted, a new weekly video podcast delivering exclusive news, commentary and analysis on the Royal Family. The programme will officially launch on Thursday, October 1, 2026, on YouTube and all major podcasting platforms.

Hosts and Format

Hosted by Express Royal Editor Emily Ferguson and commentator Carole Malone, the 30-minute episodes will go live every Thursday at 7am. The show promises to take audiences behind the Palace gates with exclusive stories sourced directly from Ferguson's contacts. The hosts will dissect the three biggest royal news stories of the week, driven by Malone's candid commentary.

The podcast will also feature a dedicated Royal Fashion segment at the close of every episode. Hosted by Alicia Liberty alongside Ferguson, this segment will explore the latest sartorial choices of the Royal Family, offering a commercial opportunity for sponsors and advertisers.

Reactions and Early Success

Royal editor Emily Ferguson said: “I’m really excited to be hosting Royals Unscripted and sitting down with Carole each week to get behind the headlines and discuss what’s really going on at the Palace and beyond.”

James Walker, Associate Editor (Video) at the Daily Express, said: “We are incredibly excited to launch Royals Unscripted and have every confidence that this show will go viral by the end of the year.”

The team behind Royals Unscripted run the Daily Expresso podcast, the No. 1-ranked UK news podcast on YouTube in June. The first-ever video on the Royals Unscripted YouTube channel hit 339,000 views, and the show had more than 5,200 subscribers ahead of launch.
