Ross Wilkes Age: Coronation Street Cassie Bombshell

Coronation Street has aired disturbing scenes involving Ross Wilkes and Cassie Plummer, with the character's age revealed as 63 during a birthday celebration that led to explosive revelations.

Ross, played by Ian Burfield, recently arrived on the cobbles as Tyrone Dobbs' long-lost father after Tyrone's daughters Hope and Ruby secretly submitted a DNA sample. Before Ross surprised Tyrone, Cassie encountered him at the Chariot Square Hotel bar, where he hurled cruel insults at her. After spotting his name on the bill, Cassie worked out his true identity.

Birthday Revelations

In Wednesday's episode, the family discovered Ross' birthday, prompting Tyrone's wife Fiz to organise a celebration. Based on Ross' character biography, he was reportedly born on 29 July 1963, making him 63 years old. Tyrone is 44 in December and Cassie is 60.

During the dramatic scenes, after Tracy Barlow referred to Ross as a 'real man', Cassie proclaimed: 'Like going out with a real man, do you, Tracy? You know, this real man, he didn't cop off with me. It wasn't a one-night stand. I was a 15-year-old girl, and he paid me for sex.'

Family Confrontation and Threat

The family confronted Ross while Cassie emotionally confided in son Tyrone: 'I never wanted to tell you. I just couldn't stomach it anymore. Everyone thinking he was God's gift.' Following Ross's apology for his actions, he pleaded to remain part of Tyrone's life, to which Cassie consented he could maintain a relationship with his son.

However, Ross's sinister true nature quickly surfaced. Towards the end of the episode, he menacingly warned Cassie that he would kill her should she ever come between him and Tyrone again.

Coronation Street airs on weeknights at 8:30pm on ITV and ITV X.
