Robert Rowinski Quits Dancing With the Stars Ireland

Robert Rowiński, a professional dancer on Dancing With the Stars Ireland, has confirmed he will not return for the upcoming season, ending a seven-series run on the show. The announcement comes as the programme issued an official statement praising his contributions.

Rowiński first joined the Irish version of Strictly in season two, and over his tenure reached the final twice. The show's announcement read: "After seven sensational seasons, Robert Rowiński is leaving Dancing With the Stars. Having first debuted on the show in season 2, Robert has been a phenomenal presence and joy to watch."

A Career of Highlights and Partnerships

During his time on the show, Rowiński partnered with several celebrities, including Maïa Dunphy, Glenda Gilson, Eileen Dunne, Aishah Akorede and Anne Cassin. He made the final twice, with Cliona Hagan in 2019 and Brooke Scullion in 2023.

Fellow professionals and fans have reacted to the news, with Oti Mabuse writing: "You will be missed!" Anna Daly added: "He has been a joy to watch." Karen Byrne, another Dancing With the Stars pro, said: "Babssss, I will miss our laughs." Glenda Gilson, his former celebrity partner, echoed: "Wishing you all the best Rob!"

Rowiński's Own Statement

In his own statement, Rowiński explained the decision, saying: "It is with a heavy but happy heart that I'd like to share the news I will not be returning to Dancing With The Stars Ireland this season." He reflected on joining the team in 2018 after years with the Polish version, describing his seven seasons as a time when he "not only made it to 2 finals, but also made so many friends for life."

He added: "There was a lot of laughter, a few tears, many long days and late nights, but above all, a wonderful experience that became a huge part of my life." Rowiński expressed gratitude to the producers and crew, saying: "I am grateful to the producers and crew for the opportunity to be part of this brilliant show for so long, and wish them and my fellow dancers many more years of success."

Looking ahead, he concluded: "But for now, it's time for me to move on, and this month, my new life in Warsaw begins! Slán go fóill Ireland! Babs."
