Richard Madeley stormed off the Good Morning Britain set during Tuesday's broadcast after his co-host Kate Garraway teased him about his pet peeve. The 70-year-old presenter was discussing irritating habits with Garraway when he admitted he hated people eating food next to him, especially at the cinema.
Garraway, 59, then pulled out a bag of popcorn from a cabinet and threw a piece into Madeley's mouth as he grimaced. She laughed and said: "He's the fun police - he doesn't like people eating next to him." Madeley sighed and walked out of the studio, prompting Garraway to declare: "He's had enough, he's stormed off set!"

Madeley returned after a preview of This Morning hosts Alison Hammond and Dermot O'Leary aired. He slumped back next to Garraway, who continued eating her popcorn, before the show went to an ad break.
Previous on-air mishap
The playful moment follows an incident last week when Garraway apologised to viewers after a passer-by made a rude gesture during a live broadcast. She and co-host Rob Rinder were interviewing City of Edinburgh Council leader Jane Meagher about Edinburgh's new tourist levy when a man appeared in the background and made a reverse V-sign. Garraway addressed the incident, telling viewers: "Just to say, Jane, you won't be aware because you were talking so elegantly to us with the gorgeous vision of Edinburgh behind. But somebody came past doing a rather rude gesture. So, if you're watching at home and you saw, that is no reflection on Jane or indeed Edinburgh."
