Ray Winstone has joined the cast of Netflix's upcoming thriller 'Yeti', starring alongside Chris Pine and Sofia Boutella. The film, which began production in Budapest, is directed by Michael Chaves, known for 'The Nun II' and 'The Curse of La Llorona'.
The script, written by Peter Gaffney and Sean Tretta, follows a father and daughter stranded in the Alps after an avalanche uncovers a primeval creature from the ice. With no hope of rescue, they must fight to survive against a merciless predator that blends into the snow.
Winstone, who recently appeared in Netflix's 'Damsel' and 'The Gentlemen', joins a cast including Iona Bell as Pine's on-screen daughter, along with Bill Milner, Lisa Loven Kongsli, Géza Röhrig, and others.
Produced by Erik Feig and Jessica Switch for PictureStart, with Dan Kagan, the film also sees Pine serving as executive producer alongside Hans Ritter. Netflix has confirmed more updates will follow in the coming months.
