Netflix has officially announced that the upcoming Peaky Blinders film, titled 'The Immortal Man', will premiere in cinemas on 6th March 2026, followed by a streaming release on 20th March 2026. The announcement was accompanied by a moody first-look poster featuring Cillian Murphy's Tommy Shelby on horseback, reminiscent of the series finale.
The film is set during World War II, with creator Steven Knight describing it as 'a sort of untold story that happened in the Second World War, which Peakys are going to be involved in'. It will be rated R in the US, indicating mature content.
Cillian Murphy reprises his iconic role as Thomas Shelby, joined by returning cast members Sophie Rundle (Ada), Stephen Graham (Hayden Stagg), and Ned Dennehy (Charlie Strong). New additions include Tim Roth, Barry Keoghan, Jay Lycurgo, and Rebecca Ferguson, who expressed excitement about working with Murphy.
Ferguson told RadioTimes.com: 'I wanted to work with Cillian for a very long time... so when this came it was a no-brainer for me.' She added that entering such a beloved franchise was 'quite scary' but an honour.
The film will not conclude the Shelby story, as two additional series have been confirmed, set to follow a new generation of Shelbys amid Birmingham's post-war reconstruction.
