NBCUniversal has announced a price increase for its Peacock streaming service, raising monthly fees by $3 for both its ad-supported and ad-free tiers. Starting July 23, Peacock Premium will cost $10.99 per month, while Premium Plus will rise to $16.99 per month. Annual subscriptions will be priced at $109.99 and $169.99 respectively.
The new rates make Peacock more expensive than comparable tiers from Netflix, Disney+, HBO Max and Paramount+. Current subscribers will see the increase on or after August 22, depending on their billing cycle. This marks the third price hike in three years for the platform, which launched in 2020.
In addition to the price rise, NBCUniversal is testing a new 'Select' tier priced at $7.99 per month, offering access to current seasons of NBC and Bravo shows along with a selection of library titles. The move comes as Peacock prepares to stream major sports events, including the NBA's return to NBC in 2025 and the 2026 Winter Olympics.
Peacock reported 41 million paid subscribers as of the end of the first quarter of 2025, up from 36 million at the end of 2024. Revenue increased 16% in Q1, while the quarterly loss narrowed to $215 million from $639 million a year earlier.
