Pamela Anderson rules out Baywatch reboot cameo

Pamela Anderson has said she will not be appearing in the upcoming Baywatch reboot, revealing that no one has contacted her about a cameo. The 59-year-old actress, who rose to fame playing C.J. Parker on the original 1990s series, told Deadline: “No one’s reached out to me.”

Speaking about the reboot, which is in development at Fox and will star Stephen Amell, Shay Mitchell and Brooks Nader, Anderson said: “I don’t know much about it. I know that they were talking to my sons at some point about producing, but I don’t think they had a meeting of the minds. I’m not sure what happened there, but I wish them well.”

Anderson described her time on Baywatch as a “great job”, adding: “I loved going to work every day on the beach. At the time, it taught me a lot, and it gave me worldwide exposure. Everything I’ve done has led me to here, which is a blessing. But I have no plans of going back to Baywatch.”

The actress dismissed any curiosity about what might have become of her character, saying: “Now is my time to really play with different characters. I don’t want to just fill my time until the end of the year. I have options, and some things I’m thinking about, including some theater again. I want to make really bold choices. I want to surprise people. I want to surprise myself.”

The original Baywatch first aired in 1989 and became one of the most-watched television series in the world, running for 12 years and starring David Hasselhoff alongside Anderson and many others. The show was previously revived as a 2017 film with Dwayne Johnson, Zac Efron and Alexandra Daddario. The new reboot will be co-produced by Fox Entertainment and Fremantle, run for 12 episodes during the 2026-2027 broadcast season, with Matt Nix serving as showrunner.
