Paddy McGuinness revealed on Wednesday's This Morning that he once appeared in Coronation Street, leaving co-host Josie Gibson stunned.
The 52-year-old presenter, who is hosting the ITV show alongside Josie Gibson this week, made the revelation during a chat with soap expert Sharon Marshall in her weekly segment.
Paddy's Corrie cameo
While discussing upcoming Coronation Street storylines, Paddy reflected on his own time on the cobbles, where he played Dougie Ryan in six episodes back in 2015.
Joking that he recognised Sally Metcalfe during a spoiler montage, Paddy quipped: "Yeah, that was my era of Corrie." Sharon, 54, responded: "It was, when you were in there as a survivalist!" with Paddy gushing: "The glory days!"
Josie's shock
Josie, 41, was left floored as Paddy explained: "Oh, yeah, I was in Corrie!" to which Josie exclaimed: "You were in Coronation Street?"
Talking about his past role, Paddy said: "I was in Corrie. I did a week in Corrie. I played a survivalist called Dougie and I just did a week in the woods."
Stunned over this revelation, a gobsmacked Josie said: "I tell you what, Paddy, you just keep giving and giving. You played a survivalist in Coronation Street and he was in the woods."
This led to Paddy joking: "Let me tell you folks, we're here till 1:30pm today! Stick around, more of these gems today!"

Back in 2020, Coronation Street celebrated Paddy's past role. Sharing a clip of his cameo, they penned on Twitter, now X: "We're celebrating all of the famous faces to have appeared on Coronation Street over the past 60 years."

Responding in the comments, one person said: "I loved Paddy Mcguinness in this episode it was brilliant x." A different account put: "Great stuff paddy is there anything you can’t turn your hand to take care of yourself."
Another fan wrote: "I have NO recollection of this episode!" while a different viewer added: "I'd love him to come back one day #Corrie #CoronationStreet!"
Meanwhile, Paddy himself responded to the tweet, writing: "Loved it!" with celebrating and laughing emojis.
