Prime Video's 'Off Campus' will see a major cast change in its upcoming second season, as Josh Heuston's character Justin Kohl will not return. Showrunner Louisa Levy confirmed the departure, though she left the door open for a potential future return.
Season 2 will instead focus on the romance between Allie Hayes and Dean Di Laurentis, played by Mika Abdalla and Stephen Kalyn. The couple's story is based on Elle Kennedy's book 'The Score', the third in the series that inspired the show.
Despite the shift in focus, original leads Hannah Wells and Garrett Graham (Ella Bright and Belmont Cameli) will remain part of the series. 'We love the couples, so there is a passing of the baton that happens, but we also don't want Hannah and Garrett to ride off into the sunset,' Levy told Deadline.
New cast members for Season 2 include Philippa Soo as theatre artist Scarlett and India Fowler as Grace Ivers, the love interest of John Logan (Antonio Cipriano). The show has not yet been renewed for a third season, but plans are in place to explore the love stories of the remaining Briar U hockey teammates.
