Two of Noel and Sue Radford's 22 children are vying to take over the family pie business after their father announced his retirement. Noel, patriarch of Britain's largest family, revealed his plans on the latest episode of their Channel 5 show, 22 Kids and Counting.
Noel told his children Chloe and Luke that he wants to 'hang up his apron' after running Radford Pie Company for 23 years. However, he insisted that only one of them will replace him, to avoid complications. 'I want to feel like it's fairly done and Luke doesn't go away feeling unhappy,' he said.
Both siblings expressed confidence in their ability to run the business. Chloe stated, 'I would say that I am the right choice', while Luke added, 'I definitely feel like it's something I'm capable of.' Luke later acknowledged he would have to prove himself, saying, 'It's like a game now, I have to win.'
Noel admitted the decision would be tough and that the chosen child would need to 'sell themselves' to him. The family, from Lancaster, runs the pie shop and shares their lives on social media and their television series.
