Netflix has unveiled an upcoming series set in New Zealand, promising "as many twists and turns as the most treacherous ski run." Titled Queenstown, the eight-episode drama features an "exceptional cast" and is now in production, filmed on location in the namesake town.
Star-Studded Cast
The cast includes Rufus Sewell (The Diplomat), Frances O'Connor (Wednesday), and Alycia Debnam-Carey (Apple Cider Vinegar). Also joining are Te Kohe Tuhaka (The Convert), Anna Baryshnikov (Cape Fear), Jamie Ward (The Gentlemen), BeBe Orleans (Strife), Alex FitzAlan (The Hunting Wives), and Tatum Warren-Ngata (My Life is Murder).
Plot and Production
The official synopsis teases: "Beneath the glamour of Queenstown’s luxury ski scene, a privileged family and the people who work for them collide over power, loyalty, and desire." The series is written by Chloe Sterns, hailed as an "extraordinary voice" by executive producers Jodi Matterson and Libbie Doherty.
