The ensemble cast features Alice Halsey as Laura Ingalls, known from Apple TV's Lessons in Chemistry. Australian actor Luke Bracey, recognized for Hacksaw Ridge and Little Fires Everywhere, portrays Charles Ingalls. Plot and Setting
Set in 1869, the series follows the Ingalls family as they leave their cabin in the Big Woods of Wisconsin and head to Kansas for new opportunities and land to build a home. The family settles in the town of Independence, making new friends and learning lessons along the way.

Season 2 Renewal
Netflix renewed the family drama for a second season before any episodes aired, demonstrating confidence in the series.
