Netflix has scrapped the sports drama 'Perfect', starring Millie Bobby Brown as Olympic gymnast Kerri Strug, after Brown exited the project due to creative differences with producers, sources say.
The film, which was set to begin production this summer, has been cancelled. Brown was to play Strug, a member of the 1996 US women's gymnastics team known as 'the Magnificent Seven', who secured the team gold by performing a vault on a badly injured ankle.
Director Gia Coppola left the project earlier this year and was replaced by Cate Shortland. An earlier version with Olivia Wilde directing also fell apart. Netflix remains committed to working with Brown on 'Enola Holmes 3' and other projects.
