Netflix has released the trailer for its upcoming period drama murder mystery, Agatha Christie’s Seven Dials, which is set to premiere globally on January 15. The three-episode miniseries is adapted from Christie’s 1929 novel of the same name by Chris Chibnall, known for his work on Broadchurch and Doctor Who.
The show stars Mia McKenna-Bruce as amateur sleuth Lady Eileen 'Bundle' Brent, alongside Helena Bonham Carter as Lady Caterham and Martin Freeman as Battle. The cast also includes Corey Mylchreest, Ed Bluemel, Nabhaan Rizwan, Alex Macqueen, Guy Siner, Nyasha Hatendi, Samuel W Hodgson, and Mark Sloan.
Set in 1925 at a lavish English country estate, the story begins when a harmless practical joke goes disastrously wrong, resulting in murder. Bundle Brent leads the investigation, a case that will change her life forever. Christie’s great-grandson James Prichard praised the adaptation, saying, 'To see her brought to life through the words of Chris Chibnall ... is a dream come true.'
The teaser trailer, released in November, offers glimpses of the suspects gathered in the library, a man brandishing a rifle, and a masked hooded figure. Bundle declares, 'I won’t stop until I find out the truth,' while Lady Caterham warns, 'People who go looking for trouble usually find it.'
