Neighbours Star Stefan Dennis Withdraws from Strictly Due to Injury

Stefan Dennis, best known for his role in Neighbours, has been forced to withdraw from the current series of Strictly Come Dancing after sustaining a significant calf tear. The injury occurred during Saturday’s performances, ending his journey on the BBC dance competition earlier than anticipated.

The actor expressed his devastation in a statement, saying he woke up to the most disappointing day of his Strictly experience. He noted that he had finally gained the confidence to excel in the competition and was grateful for the support from fans and his professional partner, Dianne Buswell. In a light-hearted remark, he pointed out that the injury is to the same leg he previously damaged, a fact he shared for devoted Neighbours followers.

Sarah James, Executive Producer at BBC Studios, expressed the team's heartbreak over Dennis's departure. She praised his enthusiasm and the partnership with Buswell, hoping he will continue dancing once recovered. The show will proceed with 11 remaining couples.
