Naga Munchetty quits BBC Breakfast after bullying probe

Naga Munchetty has announced she is stepping down from BBC Breakfast after nearly two decades. The 51-year-old presenter joined the morning show in 2009 and will now move to Radio 5 Live. She will take over from current 5 Live hosts Rachel Burden and Rick Edwards, who are leaving in December, co-hosting the Breakfast show from January.

Bullying investigation

Her departure follows a formal probe into allegations of bullying launched last year, including accusations related to interactions with colleagues and production staff. Munchetty remained on air while the internal HR investigation was ongoing.
