My Life with the Walter Boys season three has returned to Netflix, picking up right after the cliffhanger that left fans wondering about the fate of the Walter family patriarch.
Season two cliffhanger
The season two finale saw Jackie Howard (Nikki Rodriguez) and Cole Walter (Noah LaLonde) admit their love for each other, only to be interrupted by Alex (Ashby Gentry), who overheard their confession. Before the fallout could unfold, Will Walter (Johnny Link) arrived with two ambulances, delivering the ominous words: "It's dad."
George's fate revealed
In the opening scene of season three, it is revealed that George Walter (Marc Blucas) suffered a suspected stroke. He had been under stress dealing with conflicts over the ranch's land development before being found unconscious in the field by Will.
George is rushed to hospital, where he remains for weeks, with his wife Katherine (Sarah Rafferty) by his bedside. The family's concern is shown in a montage, but thankfully, George survives, and the season opens with him sitting upright, helped to drink by Cole.
Showrunner teases emotional season
Showrunner Melanie Halsall described the season three opener as "emotional," adding that the series is about "growing up, maturing, and stepping up." She also explained Jackie's mindset, saying: "Jackie is desperately trying to bring the family together. There's a part of her that feels like she's responsible for what happened to George because she feels that she just messed everything up in those last few moments of season two."
