Emmerdale fans were left on tenterhooks as Friday's episode ended with two major cliffhangers. Moira Dingle uncovered the identity of the person her husband Cain and his half-brother Caleb have been holding hostage in an abandoned farmhouse. Meanwhile, a mystery villager overheard Charity Dingle and Mack Boyd discussing their affair, potentially exposing the betrayal to Chloe Harris.
Earlier in the week, viewers learned that Cain and Caleb had locked someone up after a mysterious trip. They claimed to be working on a car consignment deal in Holland, but Moira was suspicious. In Friday's episode, her doubts grew when Nate Robinson revealed he knew nothing about the deal. Caleb was then heard telling Cain to keep an eye on their 'houseguest'.
Moira followed Cain to the farmhouse and confronted him. He tried to convince her it was 'just business' and that he was planning to buy the farm for Nate. However, Moira heard a crash from inside, pushed past Cain, and unlocked the bolted door to find a hooded figure. She looked shocked and asked, 'You?' as she stared at Cain.
In the other cliffhanger, a mystery villager overheard Charity and Mack discussing their affair. The exes recently slept together and have been hiding it from Mack's partner Chloe, who is also the mother of his son Reuben. Viewers will have to wait until Monday to learn the identities of both the hostage and the eavesdropper.
