Fans of British crime dramas can now stream the classic ITV series Miss Marple on Sky, a show that ran for six seasons between 2004 and 2013 and has been hailed by fans as essential viewing.
Plot and Creative Liberties
The series follows amateur sleuth Miss Jane Marple as she outwits police and criminals across English villages and country houses. It takes creative liberties, writing Miss Marple into adaptations where she never originally appeared, a choice one fan said worked brilliantly in episodes like The Pale Horse and Greenshaw's Folly.
Historical figures such as Winston Churchill, Noël Coward, and Louis Armstrong also appear as characters in various episodes.
Lead Actresses and Cast
Geraldine McEwan plays Miss Marple for the first three series, with Julia McKenzie taking over from series four onwards. Both received widespread acclaim for their portrayals.
