What is Mindhunter about?
Set in the late 1970s, the show follows two FBI agents on a groundbreaking mission: sitting face to face with the country's most dangerous serial killers to understand what drives them. It focuses less on catching criminals and more on exploring the darkest corners of the human mind.
Instead of a conventional whodunit, the series offers a chilling window into the psychology of evil, featuring real-life figures including Charles Manson and Edmund Kemper.
Cast and Seasons
Jonathan Groff and Holt McCallany star as FBI agents Holden Ford and Bill Tench, joined by Anna Torv as psychologist Wendy Carr. Together they form the Bureau's Behavioural Science Unit, profiling killers and preventing future tragedies.
The show has only two seasons of ten episodes each, perfect for a binge. It is based on the 1995 book Mindhunter: Inside the FBI's Elite Serial Crime Unit, created by Joe Penhall, and executive produced by David Fincher and Charlize Theron.

For devoted fans, the news has been hard to swallow: Fincher definitively ruled out a third season in 2023, leaving no hope of resolution. Critics' platform Roger Ebert hailed it as 'Netflix's best drama', and its 97% Rotten Tomatoes score speaks for itself.
