Michael Weatherly Confirms Summer Filming for Tony and Ziva Spin-Off

Michael Weatherly has provided a major update on the upcoming NCIS spin-off featuring his character Tony DiNozzo and Cote de Pablo's Ziva David. The actor confirmed that filming for the series, often referred to as NCIS Europe, will commence in summer 2024 in Budapest, Hungary, with possible additional locations across Europe.

The 10-episode series, executive produced by Weatherly and de Pablo, follows the former agents as they attempt to raise their tween daughter, Tali, while saving the world. According to Weatherly, the plot begins after Ziva reunites with Tony in Paris, but their quiet life is disrupted when Tony's security company is attacked, forcing the family to go on the run across Europe.

Weatherly shared the news during promotion for the NCIS franchise's 1000th episode, which airs on April 15 on CBS. He quipped about the premise: 'What could go wrong!' The series will explore whether Tony and Ziva can learn to trust each other again amidst the danger.
