The call began when a crew member handed Meghan a phone, saying 'we had a phone call to the studio.' Meghan initially seemed unsure before recognising Harry on the screen. She beamed and said, 'Hi, my love!', to which Harry replied 'G'day.' The pair engaged in light-hearted chat, delighting the studio audience.
Some viewers enjoyed the moment, with one writing on X: 'Wow, these two are so in love.' However, celebrity chef Jameson Stocks slammed the call, telling The News International it had 'no authenticity' and was 'just something cold, calculated, and pathetic.'
Stocks questions privacy stance
Stocks, ranked as one of the world’s best chefs by GQ magazine, said the appearance seemed at odds with Meghan's calls for privacy. He noted: 'She may call for privacy one day, yet the following day appear with her children for photo opportunities. She needs to get a grip.'
