Maya Jama responds to Celebrity Traitors slip-up

The penultimate episode of BBC's Celebrity Traitors delivered a series of shocking moments, with the biggest coming at the roundtable when James Acaster confessed to being a Traitor. However, eagle-eyed fans also noticed that all three Traitors gave away their status in different ways during Thursday's episode.

Traitors' Confessions

James Acaster's confession was the most explicit, as he told his fellow players, "I was made a Traitor without wanting to be." Kenny and Maya made less obvious slip-ups. At the roundtable, Kenny said "as a Traitor myself," which seemingly went unnoticed by his Faithful cast mates.

Maya's slip-up occurred earlier in the episode at the breakfast table. The Love Island host accidentally toasted "to killing 'em" during a group cheers instigated by Michael Sheen, but quickly corrected herself, changing "killing" to "banishing."

Viewer Reactions

No one at the table mentioned the mishap, but viewers online picked up on it immediately. One said: "Maya Jama just gave herself away, and they still didn't twig," while another added: "Maya just said 'To Killing them' instead of 'Banishing them' at Breakfast & none of the Faithfuls even picked up on it."

Responding to viewers pointing it out, Maya took to X saying: "By this point I was so tired the Traitor was dropping out of me."

Final Details

The semi-final action leads into Friday's 80-minute final, airing at 8pm on October 30 on BBC One and iPlayer, finishing at 9.20pm. This will be followed by Ed Gamble's companion show, Celebrity Traitors: Uncloaked, at 9.20pm, which will run for 40 minutes and reunite all the 2026 Celeb Traitors and Claudia.
