Maya Jama has arrived in Scotland to begin filming for the second series of Celebrity Traitors. The Love Island host, 31, was spotted at Inverness Airport wearing a white T-shirt, sunglasses and white jeans, flashing a huge smile as she prepared to take part in the BBC game show.
Producers reportedly had Jama at the top of their wish list for the series, which will also feature soap stars, Ross Kemp and Julie Hesmondhalgh. The former Radio 1 DJ is said to have accepted a flat fee of £40,000 for the show, a significant reduction from her reputed £800,000 Love Island salary, after becoming a fan while watching with her boyfriend, footballer Rúben Dias.
A source told The Sun: 'She loved watching the first Celebrity Traitors series at home with boyfriend Rúben and is so excited to get filming. She can't wait to do some fibbing and be as deceitful as possible to try to win it.' The source added that the timing works perfectly for her to go from the Scottish castle to the Love Island villa in Majorca in June.
Also on Jama's flight was Irish podcast star Joanne McNally, who was seen hugging her co-star at the airport. The full line-up for Celebrity Traitors season two was revealed on Saturday, including Ross Kemp, Richard E. Grant, Michael Sheen, Leigh-Anne Pinnock, Rob Beckett, James Acaster, Joe Lycett, Romesh Ranganathan, and others.
Ross Kemp, 61, was seen arriving in Scotland with a thumbs-up, ready for the psychological game in the infamous castle. The series is expected to air later this year on BBC One.
