Married At First Sight UK star Peggy Rose has announced a drastic career move into adult pantomime, just weeks after slamming her on-screen husband Georges for his relaxed attitude towards adult content. The 32-year-old, who tied the knot with online coach Georges on the E4 show, will star as Fairly Barbie in 'Jack and His Giant Beanstalk' at London's Prince of Wales Theatre from December 8 to 22.
The news comes as a surprise to fans who recall Peggy branding herself a 'bit of a prude' during the series. She expressed concern when Georges said he would not mind her posting adult content online, stating it was not the reaction she wanted. The pantomime, described as 'risque', features characters such as Queen Genetalia and Fairy Courgette, promising 'panto fun and frolics'.
Peggy previously worked as a Technology Risk Partner, a job she claimed was making her ill. 'I hadn't had a period in four years because of stress,' she revealed. She has since launched her own sustainable fashion business, Off the Peg Boutique, reselling unique clothes, and credits MAFS for enabling her to pursue a career she loves.
Rumours of trouble in paradise have surfaced after Peggy was spotted without her wedding ring during a day out in London's Leicester Square. The Mirror has approached her representatives for comment.
