The billboard, which bore the slogan 'We've been expecting you', prompted David to admit he was 'stunned' and felt like he was 'with a celebrity'. Alissa is a nurse and social media influencer from Adelaide, but the display raised eyebrows among fans.
One viewer wrote: 'Seeing the huge billboard with Alyssa on it is making me question her motivation for being on #MAFSAU.' Another speculated: 'Seems Alyssa has quite the profile in Adelaide. Maybe that's why Bec hates her?'
However, some defended the couple, with one fan describing them as 'a great couple'. Alissa later told her mother she was 'falling in love' with David and would consider moving to Sydney to be with him.
