Darts world No.1 Luke Littler is set to headline a new Netflix show that offers £501,000 to any amateur who can defeat him in a single leg of 501. The show, titled 'Beat Luke Littler', will air live on October 30 and includes regional heats in Manchester and London in September to select 20 competitors.
Littler, just 19, has established himself as the sport's dominant force after winning the World Matchplay title on Sunday, beating Gerwyn Price 18-9 to claim £225,000. He also broke Phil Taylor's long-standing records for the highest average across the tournament and in the final. Over the PDC's two-year order of merit, Littler has now earned £3,143,500.
Show Format and Prize
Netflix's statement explained: “The rules are simple: one night, one chance, and one perfect leg of 501. If an amateur can defeat darts prodigy Luke Littler, they will walk away with a life-changing £501,000.” The show is produced in partnership with the PDC, and Netflix has opened a nationwide search for 20 brave competitors.
Littler welcomed the challenge, saying: “Everyone thinks they can beat me. Now they get a chance to prove it. Bring it on.”
Littler's Unparalleled Form
In 2026, Littler has already won the World Championship, UK Open, Premier League and the Masters. He has earned £2.13 million more than world No.2 Luke Humphries in the current PDC cycle. Despite his success, Littler believes he can improve. “I can still get better,” he said after beating Price. “I can get a lot better. Through the matches, I was up to a 120 average at one point and I didn’t make it stick. Maybe in a few years’ time I will stick it and go up to a 120 average.”
He added: “The main goal was to win every major once. I don’t know how many years are left in me. We’re still only two and a half years into my professional career. It’s far from done.”
Warning from Gerwyn Price
Price, who averaged 104.97 in the final but still lost, issued a warning to potential contestants: “Luke is one in a million, I threw everything at him. He's fantastic for the sport. I wish he wasn't as good as he is - I would have won a couple more tournaments. I hope there's no-one else like him coming through because he's ridiculous!”
