Love Island star Shakira Khan has hinted at a family rift after revealing that her mother has not yet met her boyfriend Harry Cooksley. Speaking on Loose Women, the 24-year-old reality star said her mother had been on a Mediterranean cruise, adding she had not seen her father in 10 weeks.
Shakira, who met Harry on the ITV2 dating show, addressed 'trust issues' following their villa ordeal, which included a love triangle with Helena Ford and the arrival of Harry's ex-girlfriend Emma Munro. She stressed the importance of rebuilding their relationship at their own pace.
Harry, 30, joined the discussion from the audience, admitting he wanted to 'make the most' of his time in the villa. Shakira quipped that he is 'not a bad person, he just does silly things'. The couple are yet to meet each other's families, sparking speculation of a family feud.
Harry also reflected on his behaviour, saying he handled things wrongly with Helena but is glad they are moving forward as friends. Shakira described watching events unfold on screen as 'heartbreaking'. They finished as runners-up to Toni Laites and Cach Mercer.
