Love Island finalist Harry Cooksley has opened up about his biggest regret regarding his romance with Shakira Khan during the show's finale. The 30-year-old footballer, who has coupled up with Shakira, 22, admitted he took too long to express his feelings for her.
During an honest conversation ahead of the winner announcement, Harry told Shakira: "I do regret taking too long to tell you how I felt. We both know this is more than surface level - I think it always has been for me." Shakira responded by saying Harry is "everything I could possibly want in a partner" and that she is excited for their future together.
The couple are bookmakers' favourites to win the series, with odds of 10/11. They face competition from Toni Laites and Cach Mercer (7/4), Yasmin Pettet and Jamie Rhodes (4/1), and Angel Swift and Ty Isherwood (20/1). Ladbrokes' Alex Apati said: "The odds have spoken and it looks as though Shakira and Harry have peaked at just the right time."
Harry's journey in the villa has not been without controversy. Prior to coupling with Shakira, he had a romance with Helena Ford, and his ex-girlfriend Emma Munro made a surprise entrance before leaving. Additionally, comments from Harry's football teammates surfaced, with some advising him to end things with Shakira, calling her "annoying" and a "drip".
