Family Surprise in the Villa
Love Island fans were left open-mouthed as Yasmin's 'twin' entered the villa on Sunday's episode. The hit ITV2 dating show aired its highly anticipated friends and family episode, where contestants' loved ones visit to give their seal of approval on burgeoning romances just days before the final.
Yasmin and Tommy's Families Meet
Sunday's episode saw Yasmin and Tommy's families meet for the first time. Yasmin's mum, Victoria, and aunty, Abi, surprised the Islander, while Tommy's parents arrived to see their son. Speaking outside the villa, Tommy's dad Nick instantly mistook Abi for Yasmin's mother due to their identical looks. Nick said: "Oh obviously, Yas' mum!" to which Abi quickly corrected him: "No, auntie!"
Yasmin's mum Victoria then joked: "I'm Yas' mum! Everyone says that, I know, I know, we're all very similar!" The families then gushed over how "cute" Yasmin and Tommy's relationship is. Tommy's dad said: "Your daughter has been amazing!" to which Victoria responded: "Aw, thank you! Well Tommy came in at the best time ever for her! I mean, they're so cute, they're adorable, I love watching them together!"

Taking to Twitter, now X, viewers were also left open-mouthed over Yasmin's similarities to her aunty, likening the duo to being twins. One person said: "Yas’ aunt is her twin #loveisland" to which another viewer wrote: "Yasmins aunt is her twin #loveisland." Another show watcher commented: "I genuinely though the aunt was Yas' Mum #loveisland" while another fan wrote: "Omg her aunt looks exactly like her #loveisland".
A different viewer said: "yasmin looks like her aunt #loveisland", another fan put: "Yasmine is her Auntie 's twin! Genetics are so insane on how they work. #LoveIsland #LoveIslandUK" while a different account added: "Yas is Aunty’s twin #loveislanduk #loveisland."
Joyful Reunion
Both Tommy and Yasmin were left delighted to see their family members in the villa. Later, both families, as well as Islanders, gathered for a huge chat around the fire pit. Love Island continues tonight at 9pm on ITV2 and ITVX.
