Love Island fans were left amused after spotting a continuity error during the July 15 episode of the ITV reality show. The blunder occurred during the 'If You Know, You Know' game, when a card appeared in front of a couple before the contestants had finalized their choice.
Editing Blunder Distracts Viewers
During the game, Elicia and Aidan were tasked with selecting the couple who brought out the worst in each other. However, before they could lock in their answer, the card was already positioned in front of Jasmine and Kavan. One sharp-eyed viewer shared a screenshot on Facebook, writing: 'Not the card being there in the edit before they've even put it down anybody else notice?'
Other fans quickly chimed in. One responded: 'I noticed this too!' Another echoed: 'I noticed this I was getting so confused.' A third stated: 'I did notice it but thought my imagination was playing tricks, glad you've confirmed.' A fourth simply said: 'I noticed haha.'
Maya Jama Returns with a Twist
The episode featured Maya Jama's return to the villa, where she announced a round of 'If You Know, You Know'. The game involved couples picking statements and assigning them to other islanders. Statements included 'one half of this couple is secretly bored but too polite to admit it', 'this couple is only here for the £59k', and 'this Islander is a walking red flag'. After the game, Maya revealed that the public had been voting, leaving the episode on a cliffhanger.
Upcoming Elimination
In tonight's episode, viewers will learn the results of the public vote, which asked them to select their favourite male and female contestants. Those with the fewest votes face elimination, with rumours suggesting multiple islanders could leave. Reports also indicate that Ellie Chadwick may have already left the villa, though ITV has not confirmed this.
Love Island airs Sunday to Friday at 9pm on ITV2 and ITVX.
