Love Is Blind UK star Katisha has opened up about her split from fiance Javen, blaming his behaviour during the experiment for their decision to leave early. Speaking exclusively to Reach Screen Time, Katisha said she felt justified in leaving after Javen's flirtatious conduct at a cast mixer was revealed by fellow contestant Megan.
Katisha explained that the purpose of the social experiment was to get married, not simply date. 'We were engaged to be married; we were planning a wedding,' she said. Watching the episodes back was tough, but the scene from the mixer reaffirmed her decision.
She also addressed Javen's comments to Sophie during the mixer, calling it disappointing and saying it brought back feelings she had tried to ignore. Katisha revealed that while she and Javen are still on speaking terms, he has not taken full accountability for his actions, treating the engagement like a relationship rather than a commitment to marriage.
Javen has defended his behaviour, claiming he is a friendly person who talks to anyone, but he apologised to Katisha during the reunion episode, which she accepted. The reunion revealed that only one couple from series two remains together, with tensions also high among other contestants.
