Lorraine Kelly was left screaming and narrowly avoided swearing live on ITV on Wednesday after her fashion expert Mark Heyes, dressed as a werewolf, crept up behind her during a piece to camera.
The 58-year-old presenter jumped out of her seat and shrieked as Heyes growled, later exclaiming: 'Oh you swine! You absolute swine! You horrible, horrible man.' She admitted he was lucky she did not drop any profanities.
After gathering herself, Kelly laughed off the scare, saying: 'You are so lucky I didn't swear! Have a lovely Halloween. Oh my god I need a lie down.' Heyes profusely apologised.
Viewers took to social media to react, with one saying: 'If someone give me a fright like that I would thump them!' Another added: 'SO funny happy Halloween all! Would have loved you to swear, handled it well!'
Earlier in the week, Good Morning Britain's Richard Arnold also caused a stir with his Halloween transformation into Cruella de Vil, prompting laughter from host Susanna Reid and praise from viewers.
