In a remarkably candid revelation, television favourite Linda Robson has opened up about the complete breakdown of her relationship with Birds of a Feather co-star Lesley Joseph, admitting the pair no longer speak after years of working side-by-side.
The Loose Women panellist didn't hold back when discussing the infamous fallout, describing the atmosphere on the set of the revived ITV sitcom as becoming "toxic" towards the end of its run.
The End of an Era
Robson, who played Tracey Stubbs, explained that the dynamic between the original trio—herself, Lesley Joseph (Dorien), and Pauline Quirke (Sharon)—fundamentally shifted when the show returned in 2013. While she remains incredibly close to Pauline Quirke, referring to her as "like my sister," the same cannot be said for Joseph.
"I don't speak to Lesley Joseph anymore," Robson stated bluntly. "We were like sisters for 25 years, and now we don't speak at all. It's such a shame."
A Toxic Atmosphere
The actress went into further detail, suggesting that the working environment became unbearable. "It just got a bit toxic towards the end," she revealed, highlighting how the joy of their long-running collaboration had evaporated.
Her comments suggest that the friction behind the scenes ultimately led to the show's cancellation and the irreversible damage to her friendship with Joseph, marking a sad end to one of British television's most beloved on-screen partnerships.
