EastEnders actress Lacey Turner, best known for playing Stacey Slater, has shared an emotional life update just months after taking an extended break from the BBC soap. The 37-year-old celebrated her youngest daughter Gipsy's first birthday on Tuesday, January 13, posting a heartwarming Instagram Reel of photos set to Fleetwood Mac's 1982 hit Gypsy.
Turner wrote in the caption: 'This is ONE!! A whole year of you baby! Today and everyday we celebrate you!!! (and your funny face). Love you forever and ever.' The post received well-wishes from several EastEnders co-stars, including Balvinder Sopal, Natalie Cassidy, and Jessie Wallace.
Turner, who has played Stacey since 2004 with breaks, is also mother to six-year-old Dusty and four-year-old Trilby, whom she shares with husband Matt Kay. Kay also marked the occasion with his own Reel, writing: 'Gipsy... you stole my heart a year ago today and it's never been the same since.'
The actress stepped away from Albert Square last year to focus on her family and other projects. In a farewell video, she reassured fans: 'I am coming back, I won't be long. I love you all very much and it's a very special place to work.' EastEnders airs Monday to Thursday at 7.30pm on BBC One and is available on BBC iPlayer.
