Dannii Minogue is poised to make a sensational return to British television as a judge on Britain's Got Talent. The Australian star, previously a popular judge on The X Factor, has been informed by show bosses that she is wanted on the panel, with contracts and schedules currently being arranged.
Dannii will join a revamped panel including comedian David Walliams when auditions for the ITV show begin in January. Long-time judge Amanda Holden will return for the live shows in April but will miss auditions due to giving birth early next year. The new line-up replaces last year's judges Michael McIntyre and David Hasselhoff.
An ITV source expressed excitement about the new line-up, calling it the best yet. David Walliams had previously indicated he would consider the role if the chemistry with other judges was right. However, sources close to Dannii say she needs confirmed shooting schedules within days to avoid a repeat of the problems that saw her miss this year's X Factor series.
Dannii, 40, must plan around caring for her 14-month-old son Ethan, and has told bosses she requires full details within weeks. If not, she may sign for Australia's Got Talent. A BGT spokeswoman declined to comment, calling the reports speculation.
