KIN, the Irish crime drama that has captivated audiences since 2021, is officially back in production for its third series. Actor Emmett Scanlan, known for his roles in Peaky Blinders and Hollyoaks, confirmed the news on social media, sharing that filming is underway.
Return of the hit show
The series, which follows a fictional Dublin family at war with a drug cartel, last aired its second season in 2023. The upcoming third series is expected to premiere next year, according to reports.
Scanlan, who plays Jimmy Kinsella, posted a video on Instagram announcing the start of production. In the clip, he expressed his gratitude, saying it had been 'years in the making' and that it was 'day one' of filming. He added, "the feeling is good."
