Kelly Clarkson is returning to television with a new primetime special, 'Songs & Stories with Kelly Clarkson', weeks after the death of her ex-husband Brandon Blackstock. The four-week series premieres on Tuesday, August 19 on NBC.
The show features Clarkson sitting down with high-profile artists to discuss career highlights, performing collaboratively and acoustically. Guests include Jonas Brothers (first episode), Gloria Estefan, Teddy Swims, and Lizzo.
Brandon Blackstock died after a three-year battle with cancer, as announced by his family. He and Clarkson were married from 2013 to 2022 and share two children.
Blackstock had moved on with a new partner, Brittney Marie Jones, and was building a life in Montana, including a livestock auction and rodeo.
