Gandeys K-Pop Dragon Circus, a world-renowned production combining K-Pop culture with circus arts, will make its North East debut at the Metrocentre in Gateshead from October 24 to November 1, 2026. The Metrocentre's coach park will be transformed with a massive big top tent hosting the extravaganza.
International Artists and Spectacular Acts
The circus brings together more than 30 international artistes from across Europe and Asia, performing a fusion of aerial acrobatics, high-wire acts, daring stunts, comedy, and high-energy choreography. The show is set against a soundtrack inspired by the global K-Pop phenomenon, which has seen sustained popularity in the UK following the release of K-Pop Demon Hunters and tracks like Soda Pop and Golden.
First Visit to the Region
Produced by Gandey World Class Productions, the team behind the sell-out Gandeys Circus and Snowstorm on Ice at Trafford Centre, this is the first time the K-Pop Dragon Circus has visited the North East. The production has previously captivated audiences internationally, including performances in Hong Kong.
Hayley Gandey, Creative Director at Gandey World Class Productions, said: "We’re absolutely delighted to be bringing Gandeys K-Pop Dragon Circus to Metrocentre for the very first time. Metrocentre is one of the UK’s premier retail and leisure destinations, and to be part of its 40th anniversary celebrations is a fantastic opportunity for us. This production represents the next generation of circus. It’s vibrant, energetic, visually spectacular and unlike anything audiences in the North East have seen before. We can’t wait to welcome families under the Big Top this October."
Ticket Information
Tickets are already on sale, priced from £9.99. The circus will run for one week only, from October 24 to November 1, offering a fresh and contemporary take on circus entertainment designed to appeal to today’s families.
