Joe Marler reveals Prince Harry's 'normal' podcast entrance

Joe Marler has described how Prince Harry behaved when he walked into the room for their surprise podcast interview last month. Speaking to the Mirror, the former rugby star said the Duke of Sussex made a friendly entrance and felt "normal" within seconds.

Friendly Entrance and Immediate Comfort

Marler, who appeared on Celebrity Traitors, told the Mirror: "We were in the room waiting for him to arrive, thinking it’s going to be this big event, and he just comes straight in, said, ‘Hi guys, how you doing?’ And comes over and hugs me, and then hugs Jake. Within 90 seconds, it was like talking to a normal person, so I thought, let’s just treat him accordingly, and we did."

The 41-year-old royal made the appearance on Marler's podcast, Joe Marler Will See You Now, during his visit to the UK at the start of July. Marler also spoke positively about the royal, saying: "...I knew I liked him. I was Team Harry, if there were teams or whatever."

Podcast Highlights and Family Visit

During the episode, Harry was introduced by his full name, "Henry Charles Albert David," and when asked if there was any chance of shortening it, he simply said "Harry." Asked about his occupation, he answered: "Full-time dad, British Army veteran..."

The conversation covered topics including fatherhood and mental health. At the time, Harry was in the UK with his wife, Meghan Markle, and their two children later joined him. The Sussex family visited Highgrove House on July 10 to meet King Charles and Queen Camilla, the monarch's first meeting with his two youngest grandchildren since 2022.
