Australian thriller series One Night, starring Jodie Whittaker, is set to become available to UK viewers for free. The show originally debuted on Paramount+ in November 2023 but was removed from the platform in February 2024, leaving many fans unable to watch it.
All six episodes will now air on ITV1 and ITVX, as well as STV and STV Player in Scotland. An exact release date has not yet been confirmed, but the series is scheduled to arrive sometime in August 2025.
The drama follows three women – played by Whittaker, Nicole da Silva and Yael Stone – whose friendship was shattered by traumatic events one night 20 years earlier. According to the synopsis, Simone (da Silva) has written a novel based on that night, which becomes an unexpected success, but the story also involves her childhood friends Tess (Whittaker) and Hat (Stone). As the book blurs fact and fiction, it threatens to resurface old traumas and anger those responsible.
Whittaker recently reprised her role as the Thirteenth Doctor in a cameo during Ncuti Gatwa's final Doctor Who episode, and also starred in Jack Thorne's Netflix drama Toxic Town this year.
