Netflix has confirmed that Wednesday will return for a third season, even before the second season premieres next month. The Addams Family spin-off, starring Jenna Ortega, has been a massive hit for the streaming service.
Co-creator Alfred Gough said: 'Our goal for season 3 is the same as it is for every season: to make it the best season of Wednesday we possibly can.' Fellow co-creator Miles Millar added: 'We will be seeing more Addams Family members and learning more family secrets in season 3!'
Season 2 of Wednesday will be split into two parts, with the first half dropping on 6th August and the second on 3rd September. The show picks up with Wednesday returning to Nevermore Academy after a hectic first year.
New cast members include Steve Buscemi as principal Barry Dort and Lady Gaga as teacher Rosaline Rotwood. Returning cast includes Catherine Zeta-Jones and Luis Guzmán as Wednesday's parents, alongside Joy Sunday and Hunter Doohan.
Billie Piper joins as music teacher Isadora Capri, and Thandiwe Newton plays a psychiatrist at Willow Hill Psychiatric Facility. Season 1 remains Netflix's most-watched English-language title of all time.
