Jamie Kenna's wife, actress Claire Marlowe, has marked his birthday on the same day his new ITV crime thriller Winter makes its debut. The series, adapted from the French show Balthazar, launches tonight, Wednesday, September 30, and stars Richard Armitage as forensic pathologist Dr Ethan Winter.
What to Expect from Winter
In the thriller, a woman's frozen corpse is discovered in a lorry, and Dr Winter is called in to assist DI Lauren Bell, played by Annabel Scholey, and DS Ellis Daldry, played by Kenna, with their investigation, presenting an "immediate challenge" for the team.
Kenna is known to Coronation Street viewers for his role as Phil Whittaker, and has also appeared in Peaky Blinders, His Dark Materials and House of the Dragon.
Personal Celebrations
Marlowe, a West End performer known for Titanic the Musical, Whistle Down the Wind, and television work including Casualty and House of the Holy, posted on Instagram sharing a poster of Winter with the caption: "My husband".
She also shared a selfie of the couple, writing: "Happy Jamie Kenna day! Have a lovely birthday! See you this eve!". Marlowe circulated the Winter trailer, describing it as "what a treat" that the series debuts on Kenna's birthday. The actor is believed to be 52.
Anniversary Tribute and Viewing Details
Two weeks ago, Marlowe marked the couple's wedding anniversary with a collection of photographs from their outdoor ceremony, writing: "Nine years ago..." followed by a heart emoji.
The full six-episode boxset of Winter is already available to stream on ITVX. The series debuts tonight at 9pm on ITV and ITVX.
