James Martin has announced that his ITV programme, Saturday Morning, is taking a summer break. The chef revealed the news moments before the end of the latest episode, which aired on Saturday 6 June.
The show, which has run since 2017, saw James joined by Atomic Kitten star Natasha Hamilton, chef Mike Reid and chocolatier Mark Tilling. The episode began an hour later than usual due to a scheduling change for ITV Racing.
Addressing viewers, James said: “It’s our final show before the summer break. We’ll see you back in autumn.” The programme’s social media account also confirmed the break, posting: “Can you believe it’s our last show before the summer break today?!”
Fans reacted with disappointment but understanding, with one writing: “Love this show, can’t wait for the next season to come back.” Another added: “You all deserve a well-earned break.” James Martin’s Saturday Morning is available on ITVX.
