Emmerdale's Jacob Gallagher finally fights back against his tormentor Dr Todd in upcoming episodes, taking her to HR over her bullying behaviour. The medical student has endured escalating harassment from his boss, who has been gaslighting him and manipulating colleagues into believing Jacob has an inappropriate crush on her.
After weeks of torment, Jacob reaches breaking point. He confides in Ross Barton, who advises him to talk things out with Dr Todd. However, when Jacob attempts to speak with her, the situation only worsens, prompting him to file a formal complaint with the hospital's HR department.
Jacob meets with an HR representative and details the bullying he has suffered at Dr Todd's hands. Unbeknownst to him, Dr Todd watches from a distance, furious at his actions. After the meeting, she confronts him, demanding to know why he went to HR. Jacob finally stands up to her, but the outcome remains uncertain.
Dr Todd's behaviour has included calling out Jacob's errors publicly, tormenting him, and manipulating Manpreet Sharma and Vanessa Woodfield into believing Jacob is crossing professional boundaries. With Dr Todd now living in the village, Jacob feels there is no escape from her.
