ITV Confirms Grace to Replace Gone in Sunday Night Slot

ITV has announced that popular detective drama Grace will take over the Sunday night slot following the conclusion of psychological thriller Gone. The sixth series of Grace, one of ITV's most-watched dramas of 2025, will premiere on Sunday, March 29 at 8pm.

Gone, starring Eve Myles and David Morrissey, will end on Monday, March 23 after six episodes. The series follows Detective Annie Cassidy as she investigates the disappearance of Sarah Polly, with local headmaster Michael Polly emerging as the prime suspect.

Grace, set in Brighton and based on Peter James's novels, stars John Simm as Detective Superintendent Roy Grace. The new season will feature four standalone films: Left You Dead, Capture You Dead, Dead Man's Game, and One Of Us Is Dead.

John Simm, who has played Roy Grace since the show began, said: 'This is the longest I've been involved in any show! But it's such a joy to do, and to be surrounded by a team like this for large chunks of the year makes it impossible to turn down.'

The returning cast includes Richie Campbell as DI Glenn Branson, Zoë Tapper as Cleo Morey, Laura Elphinstone as DS Bella Moy, Brad Morrison as DC Nick Nicholl, and Juliette Motamed as DC Vee Wilde. Guest stars for the new series include Rishi Nair, Ali Khan, and Sara Powell.
