Yet Corrie is experiencing a significant schedule change tonight, Friday 7 August, having been replaced by the EFL Cup Live, featuring Middlesbrough versus Wrexham with kick-off at 8pm. The football coverage is set to run from 7.30pm until 10.25pm.
Emmerdale Also Affected
The football is also affecting Emmerdale, as the ITV soap normally airs ahead of Coronation Street at 8pm during ITV's soap "power hour". This regrettably means there will be no early release episode on ITVX owing to the football taking over tonight's slot.

Unfortunately there's no Emmerdale or Coronation Street this Friday as the Carabao Cup airs on ITV1."
